Means of payment


All Major Credit Cards (Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa) are accepted for prepaid reservations and pay on arrival rentals across the network.
Debit Cards such as Visa electron and MasterCard Maestro cards are not accepted at time of reservation or rental, except in the UK where Switch / Solo and UK issued Maestro Debit Cards are accepted for reservations/rentals taking place in the UK only.
Europcar charge cards are not accepted for rentals in the USA where only major credit cards can be used for prepaid reservations and pay on arrival rentals.
A Major Credit Card must also be presented at time of vehicle pick up in any station of the Europcar network.
NB. All Credit and Debit cards used for online payment must be in the name of main driver. The card SECURITY CODE (also known as ""card verification code"") is a three or four-digit number printed on your credit card. The number is often used to verify that the card number and the security code match, Europcar asks for the Security Code in order to improve security and protect cardholders against card misuse. For Visa / Mastercard, the code is the last 3 digits of the number printed on the back of the card in the signature strip. For American Express, the code is a four-digit number printed in black on the front side of your credit card, top right above the card number. Diners cards do not include a Security code. If making your payment with a Diners card you may leave the ""Security Code"" field blank.
