Rent a van in Spain with Europcar

Sometimes a family car just isn’t big enough for what you need to carry – so whether it’s a desk, a dishwasher or a drum kit, and whether you need to get to Seville, Salamanca or Santander, a rental van from Europcar Spain can help shift the load.

With 382 rental stations across the country you can be sure of finding one convenient to you. Our flexible options mean you can hire a van for just a few hours, overnight, for a week or even longer, plus you can return your truck to a Europcar office of your choice meaning you don’t need to make a return journey if that’s more convenient. With year-round competitive prices and no hidden charges, you can book with confidence from Europcar Spain.

So when you need a great deal on van rental, look no further.

Different jobs call for different vehicles and our extensive range of vans and trucks means you can pick the one that’s right for you.

Maybe you just need something small and nippy to carry a new purchase across the city – in which case the Renault Kangoo or Citroen Partner would be just the job.

If you’re shifting something a bit bigger – maybe some furniture or building materials – try the Renault Trafic or Iveco Daily.

And for the largest of loads or if you’re moving house, the Peugeot Boxer or larger Iveco models should be big enough to handle the job.

Van driving tips in Spain

If you’re new to driving in Spain, or you haven’t driven a van before, it needn’t be daunting if you follow a few simple tips:

  • If you’re new to driving in Spain, remember that you must drive on the right.
  • Speed limits are 50km/h in built-up areas; 90km/h on single carriageways; 100km/h on dual carriageways; and 120km/h on motorways. However, these limits can reduce in built-up areas so keep an eye out for signs.
  • Many motorways operate toll booths where payment can generally be made by cash or credit card.
  • It’s a good idea to avoid peak times in cities when traffic will be at its busiest.
  • Plan your route in advance and make sure it doesn’t include any roads that are unsuitable for large vehicles – some rural roads or city centres may have particularly narrow streets.
  • Be aware of the height of the vehicle and check it will fit under any structures such as low bridges or car park entrances.
  • A large van may need a bit more space for turning than you’re used to so be sure to allow for this when parking and manoeuvring.
  • Carrying a heavy load can affect braking and acceleration so make sure you allow for this.

It’s also useful to know that you can dial 112 from anywhere in Europe and an operator will connect you to an emergency service in the country you're visiting.
