Our extensive range of vehicles offers something to suit all requirements and budgets.

Promised to deliver some drums? Compact vans such as the Citroen Berlingo or Volkswagen Caddy would be perfect for the job. Need to collect a climbing frame? You’ll be wanting the extra capacity of a Vauxhall Vivaro or Mercedes Benz Sprinter. And if you’re helping your Dad downsize, consider hiring the Iveco Daily with a massive 19m3 of space inside.

So whether you’re packing up your whole house or just transporting bulky items and you need a van or truck, look no further. For a comprehensive list of vehicles available, visit our UK fleet page.

Van driving tips in UK

There’s no need to be daunted when driving a van or truck in the UK – we’ve put together some tips to help you be confident driving a larger vehicle:

  • Take a few minutes when you first get in to familiarise yourself with the layout and controls of the van so you are prepared for the journey.
  • Check your route in advance and make sure it doesn’t include any roads that are too narrow or unsuitable for large vehicles, particularly in rural areas.
  • If you’ll be driving in or through towns and cities, be aware of driving regulations such as bus lanes, speed limits, one-way streets, and parking restrictions.
  • Be aware of the height of the vehicle and check it will fit under any structures such as low bridges or car park entrances.
  • A large truck may need a bit more space for turning than you’re used to – make sure you allow for this when parking and manoeuvring.
  • Slow down, particularly in windy conditions.
  • Carrying a heavy load can affect braking and acceleration – make sure you allow more space for braking.
  • Remember that visibility won’t be the same as driving a car – you may be relying on just your wing mirrors if there isn’t a rear view mirror or if the rear view is obscured by your load.

And remember, if you run into trouble on your journey, you can dial 112 from anywhere in Europe and an operator will connect you to an emergency service in the country you're visiting.
