Rent a van in Germany with Europcar

Are you moving house in Germany? Whether it’s a move to Munich, a fresh start in Frankfurt, or shifting stuff to Stuttgart, renting a van is a flexible and cost-effective way of getting everything from A to B. And if it’s a smaller load you need to transport, we can help with that too!

Our 302 rental stations are located across the country, meaning you can choose the one most convenient for you. And if it’s easier to drop your hire van back at a Europcar station close to your destination rather than bringing it back to where you hired it, that’s no problem.

We understand that some jobs take longer than others, so we offer flexible short and long-term hire options to suit you, so you can be done in a day with our hourly or overnight rentals or take a few days, a week, or even longer – the choice is yours.

Our affordable year-round prices with no hidden charges mean that with Europcar Germany you can be confident you’re getting a great deal.

Browse our large selection of vans

Our extensive fleet of vans and trucks offers something for every type and size of job - from long trips to large loads, van rental from Europcar helps you get the job done.

Need to move a mattress that just won’t quite fit in your car? One of our compact vans such as the Volkswagen Caddy or Mercedes Benz Sprinter would be just the job. For larger loads such as beds, wardrobes or desks, one of the Iveco models or a larger Sprinter model would fit the bill. And when you’re moving a whole house, the largest Ivecos or even one of the Man trucks should be big enough to handle all your belongings with ease.

Van driving tips in Germany

Whether you’re a van driving pro or new to handling larger vehicles, it’s always good to familiarise yourself with your rental truck before you set off so you’re confident with all the controls. We’ve put together some tips to help you be confident driving a larger vehicle:

  • Remember to drive on the right hand side of the road.
  • Check your route in advance and make sure it doesn’t include any roads that are too narrow or unsuitable for large vehicles, particularly in rural areas.
  • If you’ll be driving in or through towns and cities, be aware of driving regulations such as bus lanes, speed limits, one-way streets, and parking restrictions.
  • Peak times of day in towns and cities will be busy so time your journey to avoid rush hours if possible.
  • Be aware of the height of the vehicle and check it will fit under any structures such as low bridges or car park entrances.
  • Allow extra space for turning, parking and manoeuvring.
  • You may need extra space for braking, particularly if you’re carrying a heavy load.
  • There may not be a rear view mirror or your rear view may be obscured by your load.

And remember, you can dial 112 from anywhere in Europe and an operator will connect you to an emergency service in the country you're visiting.
