Europcar congratulates Thomas Voeckler, winner of the 10th stage of the Tour de France

This afternoon Thomas Voeckler, leader of the Team Europcar, won the 10^th stage of the Tour de France, from Mâcon to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine. Voeckler, a member of Jean-René Bernaudeau's also took the red polka dot jersey for the best climber and the prize for combativeness! Europcar, the leading car hire company in Europe, congratulates Thomas Voeckler and all the riders and staff of the Team Europcar.

Thomas Voeckler, who has been battling a knee injury for several weeks, is back in form and today won his first stage in this year's Tour de France for Europcar. A year ago - on 10 July 2011 - Thomas took the yellow jersey on the Tour de France and kept it for the next ten days in a row. Today he put in a great performance, winning a very difficult stage between Mâcon and Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, which included with the first exceptional mountain pass of this Tour de France. After leading the breakaway group, Thomas' tactical sense and tenacity that enabled him to combine the stage win, the red polka dot jersey and the prize for combativeness. 

The Europcar Group, which is sponsoring Jean-René Bernaudeau's professional cycling team for the second season, is delighted with this victory, which crowns the performances put in by Team Europcar over the past two seasons.
