In the event of vehicle damage/theft or third party loss, you'll only pay up to the standard damage liability fee under most circumstances*. You can upgrade your damage cover at the rental location.

INTER-ISLAND ONE-WAY

For a limited time, you can book a One-Way rental, pick up in the South Island and drop off in the North Island, crossing the islands via ferry. Europcar will cover the cost of the vehicle to travel on the ferry. Customers pay for their individual fares. Valid for Queenstown to Auckland or Christchurch to Auckland routes only.

You may be wondering why we are offering you car rental for $1, but there is a logical reason behind our crazy offer!
Often we need to re-locate a vehicle, due to increased demand in a particular city or to return it to the manufacturer at the end of its lease.
Transporting vehicles by truck can be expensive. Our One-Way deals give you the opportunity to relocate the vehicles for us at a price you can't beat. Find a pick-up and drop-off location that suits your travel plans and we both benefit!

EUROPCAR ONE-WAY: WE CHOOSE THE CAR

Because there are specific vehicles that Europcar needs to relocate, you will not be able to choose the vehicle you drive. All of our vehicles, however, are new and in great condition, so you will always enjoy a quality drive.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE $1* PRICE?

Any optional extras you add during the booking process or at the rental location, such as a child seat or a GPS

Any additional Cover Products you add either during the booking process or at the rental location

Re-fueling costs - Europcar will provide the vehicle with a full tank and this should be full when you return the vehicle. Otherwise, a fee will apply according to our local Terms and Conditions.

Any tolls or fines incurred during your trip and any administrative charges linked to these fines

Any repair costs from damage not covered by the protection subscribed and any administrative charges linked to these repairs

Any kilometres driven outside the allowance given with the booking

- Individual customer fares when travelling on the Interisland ferry service (if applicable).

Vehicles are subject to availability at time of reservation

Offer valid for rentals picked up from and returned to the specified Europcar locations

Rental period is based on the route chosen, as specified throughout the booking process

Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion

Europcar standard age, credit card and driver requirements apply. Drivers must be over the age of 21, hold a full Drivers Licence printed in English or an International Driver's License.

- $1 per rental includes daily time & kilometre charge, GST, vehicle registration recovery fee, administration recovery fee (if applicable) and unlimited kilometres. Optional liability coverage and optional extras are additional.- Extra charges may apply to options you select, if you do not return the vehicle as agreed or return the vehicle late, or if you do not return the vehicle full of fuel unless the prepaid fuel option is purchased, or if you incur infringements or use toll roads- If there is Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss you must also pay up to the standard Damage Liability Fee (DLF).
