What is the Damage Liability Fee (DLF)?

If there is Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss you must pay an amount up to the Damage Liability Fee (DLF) even if you have travel or car rental excess insurance.

Even if You pay the DLF, there may be no cover for Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss in some circumstances.

Minimum age required:

Must be over 21 to book a car in Australia or New Zealand (25 for Prestige vehicles). Min age requirements for other locations vary, so be sure to read the booking path information or the country terms and conditions found here

What does CDW cover?

Your Damage Liability Fee is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement, but there is no cover for Damage to the Vehicle’s windscreen, headlights, wheels or tyres and there may be no cover for Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss in some circumstances. See the table below for a summary comparing the various Damage Cover options available or refer to the Terms and Conditions of Rental for a full understanding of Damage Cover inclusions and exclusions.

What does SCDW cover?

Our premium Damage Cover which reduces your Damage Liability Fee to nil but there may be no cover for Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss in some circumstances.
