Charging

We recommend downloading the ChargeFox app to locate and pay for public charging. A public DC rapid charge station is the fastest way to charge your Kona. These are also located in public spaces and are usually ‘pay for use’. Charging time from empty to 80% takes as little as 65 minutes. These charging stations use a cable which is tethered to the charging station.

Real life driving results will vary depending on a combination of driving style, type of journey, vehicle configuration, battery age and condition, use of vehicle features (such as heating and air conditioning), as well as operating, environmental and climate conditions.
4. The Kona Electric 100kW Standard Range and 150kW Extended Range powertrains can recharge from 10% to 80% in 47 minutes when connected to a 100kW DC charging station or in 48 minutes (100kW Standard Range) and 64 minutes (150kW Extended Range) when connected to a 50kW charging station. Charging times may increase if peak charging rates are not achieved.
5. Kona Electric boasts a charging rate up to 7.2kW that takes just 9 hours and 15 minutes to charge (10% to 100%). Charging times may increase if peak charging rates are not achieved.
